The Story Behind the Hummingbird.
Before I share my own story, let me tell you something about curiosity. I believe curiosity is a powerful force. When we embrace it, we create lives that are richer, more diverse, and full of texture and color—just like the hummingbird’s world.

The hummingbird, a symbol of curiosity, resilience, and vibrant energy, has inspired my brand. Like the hummingbird, I have followed my curiosity, letting it guide me through diverse experiences and ultimately leading me to my passion: helping others uncover their unique talents and step confidently into their potential.

But it wasn’t always an easy journey. It took me time to realise that my curiosity was not just a part of who I was but also my driving force, my greatest value, and the source of my creativity. It was through these difficult moments that I began to see how curiosity could not only guide me forward but also help me rebuild a life full of meaning and creativity.
It all started back in 2004.
While away on a work trip I couldn’t get-up and go to work. What I thought was a flu ending up being more serious. When I came back to England I went to see my GP and was diagnosed with depression and what we now well know as burn-out. I had to take some time off work and after a year of poor physical and mental health, I started my healing and self-discovery journey.
I was feeling lost and unfulfilled in my career and didn’t know where to go next.
I tried a few courses but lacked direction. Through conversations and some experiences, I started exploring my creativity again and regained a sense of happiness. I was still unsure what I wanted to do next but one thing became clear at the time was how important creativity was for me. I therefore decided to go back to the art world after having worked for a merchandising company.
After working for a few years for various art galleries in the heart of London, I still found myself confused and unclear about what choices I had on my career path. Although I was working for a prestigious gallery, I felt stressed and dissatisfied by my role. But what else could I do? Would I be able to transfer my skills and my knowledge in a new industry and if yes what industry?
The turning point…
Through the recommendation of a friend, I was introduced to a career coach who helped me answer those questions and identify my options as well as empower me to leave my job to go into a more management role in a company where I had worked before.
By hiring a coach, I took a big leap of faith as it was a financial investment that I had never done for myself before other than courses but I knew I had to do something to get out of this situation. I followed my instinct and curiosity and the experience was invaluable and transformative. I don’t know that I would be where I am now if I hadn’t asked for the help and guidance of my coach.
My true calling
Despite this opportunity not working out, I discovered a love of not only working with people but helping them to work to their full potential. So when I was made redundant 9 months later in 2014, I took it as a blessing and decided to re-train to work as a coach. My path ahead was becoming clearer and all felt like it was falling into place. Through coaching, I knew that I could fulfill my passion to help others, my love of learning and my interest in human behaviours as well as bring freedom and flexibility to my work life.
I therefore took a job in a construction & interior design company where I could use my skills while doing my course and building my own practice.
In 2018, I left my job and have never looked back since.
Today I am able to do the things I love and design my work around my family life while working with amazing women across the globe. Women who are ready to make positive changes and want to find work that is meaningful and allow them to grow and bring them joy.
And I do this by first understanding who they are and what they love doing the most. I helped them identify their values and aligned their life to what matters the most to them. Through one-on-one conversations, I help them dive deep and reconnect with what makes them alive, their most authentic selves. So that they can start making the right choices for themselves and do the work they love.

Everyday we write the script of our story.
We create the narrative that we tell ourselves, our family, our friends, our colleagues, our employers. That invisible thread is what makes sense of our choices and actions. It is therefore not surprising that when that thread breaks, we feel confused, lost and stuck and start craving for what used to make sense of our lives, for clarity and confidence.
When our story doesn’t fit anymore, doesn’t make sense the only way forward is to evolve and try a different path. It doesn’t mean that we have failed, but that we are ready to change and grow.

Without doing this, we find ourselves year after year stuck in the same place with the same frustrations and no to little change.

And that's where coaching with me could help. You'll go from feeling lost and unhappy to having confidence and clarity to create a fulfilling career path that allows you to grow.
